I watched Michael Gove’s statement to the House of Commons on 12th May as he outlined the government’s response to the review of vocational education undertaken by Professor Alison Wolf.

Over the holiday break I read The ‘Third Report of the Chief Regulator’ (December 2010) published by Ofqual. This is the final report from Isabel Nisbet before she leaves for her new role with the University of Cambridge International Examinations. Previously I have not been impressed by the way that Ofqual was developing its approach but this most recent report from the regulator offers some signs of hope. Read more
